Home-based baker streamlines her order system with a revamped website through CONTRAST Collective Co.

The Challenge

Theresa “Techie” [tet-chee] Cruz, Tita Techie as we refer to her using the Filipino honorific, has been serving up sweets across Metro Vancouver for YEARS.

Friends of friends have recommended her treats for any and every occasion.

The only thing is that Tita Techie is bombarded by requests across all social platforms, while her previous website collected dust and some one-off requests.

Tita Techie found herself closer to burning out, affecting the passion for baking that she wanted to share with people.

The Solution

The goal was to create a way for her website to funnel in orders, scheduled around her availability, so that she can do what she loved while having time for her loved ones.

We did this using a custom Showit website.

To keep things simple for her and stay within her budget, we introduced her to Calendly. This scheduling app allowed Tita Techie to set time slots from which her customers could choose. 

Tita Techie now had the freedom to set the pickup dates around her days.

She also had the option to upgrade to the paid version of Calendly, which accepts payment before booking the appointment.

Tita Techie was able to have the cake and eat it too.

The end product is a dang-good custom Showit website that lets her bake on her own terms AND looks and feels like her style.
