The Challenge
When you're in the photography and videography business, "telling stories" is a common catchphrase.
And yet for brothers Sean and Jacob Imoo, they've grown up immersed in the stories around them—anywhere from being the participant in the crowd to giving a spirit-filled address to the same crowd of 1,000 Grade 7s many years later, to witnessing milestones and major life events in a global pandemic.
Sean and Jacob have an eye for story...but being full-time students and entering the workforce, they couldn't find the time or energy to craft a website that gave those stories justice.

The Solution
Sean and Jacob partnered with Contrast Collective Co to create a custom Showit website that not only showed the services they could offer—a website that they could proudly share, as loudly as the stories they've been sharing online.
To start, we excavated the stories they’ve been building over the past two years—between pandemic and post-COVID era. We contacted former clients and gathered testimonials that painted a picture of the Miso Media experience.
And boy, did they deliver.
In our competitive research, other photography and videography studios rely on their work to tell the stories. This is a missed opportunity that keeps photographers and videographers seen as service providers, rather than expert storytellers.
That's why we not only wove the client reviews into the website—we got the brothers to tell theirs as well.
We paired strategic website copy with web design poised to invite their prospects to inquire or learn more about their work, and the rest was magic!
- Infused storytelling into the website copy, to give an insight into Miso's dynamic & approach
- Personality in the copy reflects that in the photos—cohesive with their work, which builds know-like-trust with their audience
- Persistent "Inquire" button at the top of the sticky header and "Contact" button at the bottom gives readers two clear options for their next step.

The Results
Sean and Jacob proudly launched their custom Showit website. Since then, they’ve worked with numerous local initiatives, like youth conferences.
With a renewed website that reflects their synergy and services, Miso Media Productions can now serve more communities with confidence.
